Firey Strings Company LLC, also known as FSCO was founded in 2011 to expand the art of string playing. The company provides cutting edge platforms for the creation and presentation of Jazz and Improvisation. We have a passion for highlighting female artists. Our audiences are introduced to new and exciting programs while we simultaneously provide an enriching artistic community for improvisers. FSCO’s diverse, powerhouse improvisers are from the United States,  Mexico, Cuba, Poland, Korea, Japan, Germany and beyond. Our program highlights include performances at the Billie Summer Stage, Carnegie Hall, BAM Cafe, South Orange Performing Arts Center, Martha Graham Studios,  Harlem School of the Arts Theater, Hostos College, Brooklyn Museum, Sugar Hill Music Festival, at the Coltrane Day Festival and at Symphony Space as part of the Black Rock Coalition Orchestra. The Firey Strings Company is featured on Bettye LaVette's Grammy nominated recordings Thing's Have Changed and the 2020 critic’s favorite Blackbirds. (Verve Records)
